The terms for using DunPilot: what the product does, what you are responsible for, and the limits of what we promise.

---

Short version: DunPilot writes drafts, you decide what gets sent, and the messages that go out are yours. The rest of this page is that idea in more careful language.

## What DunPilot is, and what it is not

DunPilot is a tool you use to chase invoices you are owed. It reads the invoices you give it, tells you who to chase, and writes a draft you can edit.

DunPilot is not a debt collection agency, and we do not act on your behalf. We do not contact your clients on our own initiative, we never send a message you have not read and approved, and we take no position in any dispute between you and the person who owes you. If your situation calls for a collection agency or a lawyer, this is not that.

## Your account

You need an account, and you are responsible for what happens under it, including anything sent from it. Keep your password to yourself. Tell us if you think someone else has it. One person or business per account.

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract in your country.

## The data you bring

Your invoices and your client list stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them for the purpose of running the service for you, and nothing else.

You are the one who has a relationship with the people in that list, so you are the one who confirms you are allowed to hold their details and to email them about money they owe. If you have no lawful basis to contact someone, do not import them.

## What you may not do with it

Do not use DunPilot to:

- Send anything harassing, threatening, abusive or deliberately misleading, including a threat of legal or collection action you do not intend to take.
- Chase a debt that is not owed to you, or that you know to be disputed or discharged.
- Break the law that applies to you or to the person you are contacting, including rules on debt collection, consumer protection, privacy and unsolicited email.
- Send bulk mail unrelated to an invoice, or anything a reasonable person would call spam.
- Attack, overload, scrape or reverse engineer the service, or resell it as your own.

## Drafts are drafts

Every reminder is written by a language model from the facts you supplied, and models get things wrong. Amounts, dates, invoice numbers, interest, late fees and anything that reads as a legal threat are yours to check before you press send. Once you send it, it is your message.

Nothing here is legal, tax or accounting advice. Late payment interest and late fee figures in particular depend on your contract and your jurisdiction, and we do not know either.

## What we do not promise

We do not promise that any invoice gets paid, that any email arrives or is read, that a figure calculated from the data you gave us is correct, or that the service is available without interruption. DunPilot is early software and it changes often. Features may be added, changed or removed.

The service is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.

## Third parties

Polar, Stripe, Google sign-in, email delivery and the AI provider each have their own terms, and their outages and decisions are not ours to control. The subprocessors are listed in the privacy policy.

## Price

Free stays free and needs no card. The paid plans are $9 and $19 a month, billed through Polar as merchant of record, and a subscription renews until you cancel it. Unlimited drafts means what it says for anyone writing them: there is a ceiling far above normal use, so a stolen key cannot run up a bill in your name, and if you ever meet it we will hear about it and talk to you. Cancelling from Settings leaves the plan running to the end of the period you already paid for. If a price changes we will tell you before it does, and you will get the chance to leave rather than being billed by default.

## Ending it

You can delete your account whenever you like, from Settings, and the deletion removes your data (see the privacy policy). We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is used to harass people, or puts the service or other users at risk. Where the situation allows it we will warn you first.

## Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost income, lost business, lost data, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of DunPilot, including an invoice that went unpaid, a reminder that did not arrive, or a message that was sent and should not have been.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and USD 100. Nothing here removes rights you have that cannot be waived, and consumer protections in your own country continue to apply whatever this page says.

## If you cause a claim

If someone brings a claim against us because of a message you sent or data you uploaded, you cover the cost of dealing with it. This is the counterweight to the fact that we do not read your messages before they go out.

## Changes and governing law

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them, and a change that materially affects you comes with an email first.

These terms are governed by the law of the country in which the operator of DunPilot is established, without affecting mandatory protections you have where you live.
